01 / Take a shift
Everyday life is part of the adventure.
Working is one of the ways to earn experience in Oulbury, alongside monster encounters, HUD chapters and participating in IC events. A local job gives your character a reason to meet people and return to the same streets.
The work system rewards active participation at an enabled business. Apply, get hired and clock in at its Work Station. Stay active and within the workplace’s range during your shift.

Apply & get hired
Find a participating business and apply for a job. You need to be hired before beginning a shift.

Clock in
Use the business’s Work Station to begin your shift. Take part in the life of the workplace.

Stay active
Remain in range and stay active while working. Clocking in is the start of your shift, not a substitute for participating.

Review your record
Use Employee Record to see your jobs, hours worked, Work XP and recent shifts.
02 / Open your doors
Your idea can become a place.
Anyone can bring a business idea to Oulbury. A café, a workshop, a bookshop, a neighbourhood service: give your character something to care about, and the town another place to gather.
To have the work system enabled at your business, open a ticket in the Oulbury Discord. Ask the staff to configure the workplace so hired players can earn experience while working there. Opening a shop does not automatically activate the system.
Join the server, then open a staff ticket to request work system setup.
Before you open a ticket
Bring a small business brief.
To help staff understand your request, include your business name, location, responsible avatar, a short description and the roles you want to offer. Ask for Work Station and Employee Record setup.
